Set up SSL certificates so that upgrades won't override them

Local patches to the code on your instance are almost always overwritten when you upgrade your instance. For most local patches, you'll need to reapply them after every upgrade.

When you set up your SSL certificates, use the instructions in this guide so that they won't be overridden when you upgrade.

Set up your SSL certificates

  1. Place your your certificate and key files here (or create symlinks):
    /etc/ssl/dradispro.local/bundle.dradispro.local.crt
    /etc/ssl/dradispro.local/dradispro.local.key

    The files in these locations will not be overridden the next time you upgrade your instance.

  2. Restart nginx to start using SSL by running the following in the console as dradispro:
    $ sudo service nginx restart
