Dradis Echo Prompts

Dradis Echo lets you save prompts to easily use them again in new Projects or new items in a project. You can also use Liquid Dynamic Content to connect to content in your project in Echo. As of v5.4.0, prompts can reference the Project, Issues, Nodes, Evidence, Content Blocks, Notes, Tags, and Document Properties drops, in addition to the {{ issue }} or {{ content_block }} drop for the record you're chatting from. This means a prompt can pull in the whole project, not just the item you're currently on — for example, drafting an Executive Summary from every Issue and Node in the project.

For example, if you want to have a ready prompt to suggest remediation details for any given Issue, you could use a prompt like:

I am a cyber security professional writing a security assessment report. I need to provide the client's technical team with clear, prioritised remediation steps for a finding. Based on the details below, please draft a concise step-by-step remediation plan. Each step should be actionable and specific. Where relevant, mention any short-term mitigations that can reduce risk while a permanent fix is implemented. These are the finding's details: # Title {{ issue.title }} # Description {{ issue.fields['Description'] }} # Solution {{ issue.fields['Solution'] }}

That would then get remediation details of the Issue you are looking at with just a few clicks. To start creating and using prompts, just do the following:

1. Visit the Echo tool page by clicking Tools > Echo in the navbar.
2. Create a prompt - give it a title, pick an icon, provide some content (e.g. the example above), and set the Prompt Scope to Issue or Content Block depending on where you want to use it.

3. Save the prompt. You can of course also Edit and Delete prompts as required.

4. To use the prompt, go to any Issue or Content Block in any Project and click the Echo tab. Any prompts you've created for that scope should be available on that page.
5. Click on any of those prompts and then Echo this prompt to use it. That's it, Echo handles the rest!

Default prompts

Dradis ships with a few ready-to-use prompts so you're not starting from a blank page:

• Issues: Summarize and Reword, to tighten up a finding's impact statement or make it clearer for the system owners reading your report.
• Content Blocks: Executive Summary, Findings Summary, and Conclusions and Recommendations, which draft each section directly from your project's Nodes, Issues, and Document Properties.

You're free to edit or delete these, or add your own alongside them.
